Our experience, bolstered by the experiences of our fellow ECFE parents, was that "Terrible Twos" don't kick in until 2 1/2. 24 months is nearly an ideal age. 30 months -- not the same. Similar experiences for 36 and 42 months. Disequilibrium sets in at the midpoint of the second and third year, not the beginning. Not universally, but pretty consistently.
