True, although I personally didn't think that the Marple Mysteries played quite as fair as Poirot. (Every time I re-read a Poirot, knowing the ending, I find that the solution is very clearly there from the beginning. I felt less that way with Marple.) To be honest, Poirot drops a bit of French, but it's the same few phrases for the most part. I'm not sure I'd steer a kid away from Poirot over that. Over some of the more adult subject matter, perhaps.

(Sorry, I'm a Poirot fan. And I really hope that Suchet does Murder on the Orient Express some day!)
