Minnesota State Fair

naomikritzerI took the girls to the State Fair today; we met up with my parents and sister.
Molly's favorite things at the State Fair (judging from her reactions -- if you ask her she will say that she liked everything equally): the Sky Ride and the chocolate-covered Belgian Waffle on a stick (with whipped cream and sprinkles).
Kiera's favorites: the Giant Slide and the deep-fried smelts. She liked mine so much I went back for more for us to share; she wanted all of them, even though she'd already polished off a full portion of the deep-fried catfish nuggets.
Kiera didn't like the chocolate-covered waffle, though, possibly because there was no way to eat it without getting messy. It got shared around among my parents and sister, with Molly polishing it off. I bought Kiera a small dish of ice cream instead.
My parents and sister had tickets to see Garrison Keillor. If you listen to Prairie Home Companion tomorrow night, you'll hear the show they watched this evening. (Or rather, you'll hear two hours of it; they got three. Apparently they record and edit down.)
