I will be reading on Thursday, November 13th, 7-8 p.m., at Patrick's Caberet in Minneapolis. (3010 Minnehaha Ave; if you're familiar with the area, it's very close to the intersection of Minnehaha Ave and Lake Street. There's a Rainbow Flag on top, it's quite easy to spot.) I'm reading with someone else, Mankwe Ndosi. It's free.
The event is sponsored by SASE: The Write Place, Patrick's Caberet, and Queue Press.
FYI, they request on the flier that people not wear scented products to the event.
Come one, come all! Tell all your friends!
I haven't entirely decided yet what I'm going to read. It's a GLBT Reading Series; there's gay content in my new book, but it's not nearly as central as the same-sex romance in "Fires" and "Turning." I may read a short story set in the Fires/Turning universe. But I haven't decided for sure. One problem is that my friends who've attended my readings before have read my novels and in some cases have gotten to hear this short story. It seems like I really OUGHT to read something new, but it doesn't exactly fit the theme. Any thoughts?
