(no subject)

I'm skimming over the coverage of the Republican National Convention. (And I don't get cable, so it's not like I could watch most of the speeches even if I thought my blood pressure was too low and really needed to be high enough to give me a pounding headache.) However, apparently the CNN website carried some pictures of protestors trampling a U.S. flag. This was discussed on a bulletin board I read, and having ruminated there, I thought I would ruminate here, as well.
