Blog about the war, January 27th
Jan. 20th, 2007 11:13 amOne week from today, at 1 p.m., there will be a huge march in D.C. to protest the Iraq War.
This is not usually a political blog, though I talk about politics here occasionally. My blog reading includes a mix of personal and political, and I've noticed that the political blogs will sometimes all do a "blog for [insert cause here]" day where they'll all write about the same thing.
On January 27th, I'm going to write about the war; I'd like to encourage others with personal blogs to do the same. No doubt the political blogs are already planning a Blog Against War day that day, but this is not solely a political issue; it's also personal.
Please note that I am attempting to declare a blog about the war day. If you aren't a peacenik -- if you supported it, or continue to support it, or if you think it was a bad idea but don't think yanking everyone out right now is necessarily the right idea, or if you frankly don't know what the hell they ought to do now -- feel free to share your views, thoughts, rants, and/or muddled ramblings as well.
I figured I'd suggest it now to give everyone who wants to participate time to organize their thoughts.
This is not a tremendously high-traffic blog, so if you like the idea, feel free to pass it along.
