Kiera

Kiera has decided that she wants to live in Paris when she grows up, and has even found a roommate -- one of her second-grade buddies, Arfi. They're also apparently going to be flight attendants together, because Kiera told me that they've agreed to try to arrange for some kid they dislike to be banned from their airline. However, there's a boy named Zachary who will get extra, extra good service if HE ever turns up on one of their flights, because he's nice.

Zachary came over to say hello while we were waiting for the band concert to start on Thursday evening. "Hi, Kiera," he said, with an absolutely dazzled smile.

"Hi," she said, beaming back at him.

Second graders with crushes are too cute for words. (And they don't talk to each other. They just grin their dazzled smiles and then run away.)
