Shoot. I went to my favorite farm stand yesterday to get peaches and green beans, and they were gone for the year. I'd thought they'd be around through the end of September, but nope. If I'd known, I'd have gone on their last day just to buy more peaches.
September is even peach season many places, I think. Does anyone know of somewhere in Minneapolis or St. Paul where I could buy good peaches? Ed was planning to make a peach upside down cake for Kiera's birthday.
I bought peaches from the Seward Co-Op earlier this year and was not particularly impressed. They came from California and were organic, but just as tasteless as the non-organic California peaches from Rainbow or Simon's.
