I love Halloween.
Kiera dressed up as a wicked princess -- a short, bulky, well-padded-with-layers-of-fleece wicked princess. Molly dressed up as a cootie, like from the game Cootie, and carried her stuffed orange kitty with her in her extra arms. (She also had antennae and a mask. And a glow-in-the-dark necklace. I looked her over and told her that people were going to ask her if she was dressed as a space alien.) I took pictures, but with a conventional camera, so I can't post any up tonight.
I had bought candy a few weeks ago, but I was in Target today and decided I didn't think I had enough. I bought two more bags. Good thing, too: we had six pieces left when people stopped coming. We had about 150 pieces of candy at the beginning of the evening, and we gave most kids just one piece. And it was freezing cold out. Our block gets a lot of trick-or-treaters because some of our neighbors do an elaborate haunted house in their yard.
Kiera bailed after about fifteen minutes, but Molly was out for an hour or so. (Ed and the girls went with our next-door neighbor and her daughter, who's good friends with Molly; Ed brought Kiera back while our neighbor accompanied Molly and Anna.) Molly was apparently delighted to see that she was the ONLY person out who'd dressed as a cootie.
