decluttering
Jan. 1st, 2012 12:22 pmAny of you fine local people wear a size 11 women's shoe? Are you interested in shoe hand-me-downs?
I have shoes in my closet that I bought because I liked their looks or they were cheap or ... who knows, really, and I've never worn them even once. If I wore 8.5 I know at least a half-dozen people I could offer them to but 11 is a little harder to come by. I will note that I do not have particularly girly shoe tastes. There are no heels in my closet of any variety.
Edited to add: heck, if you wear a women's 12, 14, or 16 and are interested in hand-me-down clothes this would also be a good place to chime in. But you've all seen how I dress, and my clothes are about what you'd expect. (Which is to say: I was frumpy even at 16 and I am still frumpy.) Which is true for my shoes, as well. A lot of them seem to say "Land's End" on the soles.

And I hesitate to actually try any of them on to assess for whether they run small because I might start talking myself into keeping them and I am pretty sure that of the five pairs of shoes here I have worn exactly one pair one time.

Date: 2012-01-02 02:28 am (UTC)I was totally shocked. I'd figured I would have to pay $50 and buy them mail order if I was ever going to get a pair of rubber boots. Those aren't in the donate pile, though; I wear them every spring.
