Our friend Rick came up from Atlanta today for a visit. Yes, for the day. He is a Delta employee and gets flight privs. Except, he just got a new job (working for the Weather Channel) and with his last weekend of flight privs, he came up to visit us. We had lovely weather for him -- it's apparently about the same here as it was in Atlanta.
Rick bought Cinnabons at the airport. I was going to pass on eating some, but when Ed confessed that he fed Kiera part of a Snickerdoodle yesterday I decided that damn it, it had been almost a year since we tested whether Kiera was still sensitive to dairy, she's 18 months old now, and I wanted a Cinnabon. So I had a Cinnabon, in all its cream-cheese-frosting glory, and Kiera ate some too (we tried to give her some without frosting -- she wanted frosting, that was VERY clear, but she settled for the unfrosted morsels we gave her). So now we will see what happens. So far Ed has tried to blame her "you aren't nursing me fast enough, I asked for na-na a whole SECOND ago" fit on the dairy, but this is totally normal behavior for her, something she does several times every day.
If she wakes up screaming at 4 a.m. I will update accordingly.
In other news, I wrote 650 words this evening. So back to a less impressive output.
