Officially, Freedom's Sisters is due to my editor tomorrow. Unofficially, she's out of the office until the end of the month and so it doesn't matter if I don't send it in until then. However, Ed and I have tentative plans for next weekend and I was really hoping to have all revisions done before then.

And they are. At least, all the revisions I'm going to make before sending it to my editor. I have addressed the major issues raised by my beta readers and I am happy with the manuscript as it stands. Which is good and a little surprising, because usually by this point in the process I believe with all my heart that the book sucks completely and it was a mistake to try writing it.

But I'm happy with it. And it's ready to go to Anne. YAY!

Congrats!! Having just finished the first draft of my own sequel over the weekend, I must be perfectly in synch with you emotionally speaking at the moment. Exhausted, happy, and extremely glad that it's done.

I'm on the other spectrum however: I currently think my book sucks. I also need to revise some things before sending it to my editor, but I'll wait and see what my beta testers think before I do that. It's my second book, so I think I'm especially prone to thinking it sucks, no matter what. Is it as good as the first? Is my editor going to drop me like a ton of bricks? Blah, blah, blah.

So, congrats, congrats, congrats!!!! And it's good to know the name of the next book in the series.

Yay!! Congratulations! And I'm glad you don't think your book sucks, because it is, in fact, quite good.
