Pull up diaper yucky. Yucky pull-up diaper. Sit on potty now.

She says lemonade as "ehmade." Sparkly shoes are pronounced "sparky shoes" -- they're the pink glitter shoes from Target, which apparently are reasonably comfortable, since she rejected all the other shoes I've tried to put on her but likes these just fine.

She is remarkably polite. She says please a lot, and if I do something for her she will usually say thank you.

You are obviously well on your way to civilizing her. Go you.

The thing is, as you go along, you start to realize (as I do now that my girls are 9 and 12) that civilizing them is an awfully long process, and you still have so far to go.

Ha. Kiera is much more conscientious about saying please and thank you than Molly is. I think with Molly it has become a game to see how far she can go with demanding things before we'll make her repeat her request with "please." This theory was bolstered today, when she was sick, and much more polite than usual. Too tired for the game, I guess.

No, and I'm not sure. I don't think of words in terms of consonant clusters. If you give me some examples of words I could try to get her to say them tomorrow. She's generally pretty cooperative when I try to get her to parrot stuff.
