Well, the reading went pretty well, despite unbelievably bad acoustics. If I were one of the cool livejournal kids I'd know how to link to the livejournals of some of the people who came, like Magenta and Abi, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

I think you deserve a medal for perseverance. The site this reading was in was an old gas station that had been used as a bait shop for years, and was recently converted to a coffee shop. (They're turning EVERYTHING into coffee shops here.) There was only the one room, and we couldn't get far enough from the various noisy coffee machines, and other peoples' conversation kept threatening to drown Naomi's voice.

Maybe it was a secret ploy to get us to all buy the book so we could follow along as she read.....
