Space

I dreamed last night that I discovered this extra space in my house. I can't remember how you got into it -- through a little door from my bedroom, I think. Anyway, it wasn't a huge space, but I got tremendously excited, because it was big enough to turn into a home office, and then we'd be able to use all three bedrooms as bedrooms (or, since Molly and Kiera don't currently mind sharing, we could have a bedroom and a playroom, and would be able to give them separate rooms once they got older and wanted their own space).

I was really disappointed to wake up from that one.

I have variations on that dream fairly often. Undiscovered rooms, whole undiscovered wings of a much larger house than I realized, finding that my home is actually part of a vast palace or a complex of underground passages...

I suspect it's my unconscious mind telling me that I have untapped resources of some sort.

I've had this dream since I was very young.

It sounds like the room of requirement from Harry Potter, and not like an ethereal wish, but like a real need. Pardon me for just jumping in to comment (I am a long time reader of your blog and also of your Turning the Storm series - I haven't had time for the new series, but I will soon). Have you seen this:

I saw it on the HGTV show "I Want That". I do not know if it will stand up to Minnesota winters, but it might be worth a look. Take care and good luck. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and worlds with us.
