Tate Hallaway has tagged me with a 7 question meme. I think I'm supposed to answer the same seven questions, though how these work are never entirely clear to me. If I've tagged you, feel free to alter these as appropriate.
Seven Things to Do Before I Die:
(1) Go back to Nepal.
(2) Teach at one of the big writing workshops.
(3) Speak at convo at Carleton.
(4) Win a Hugo.
(5) Make enough money writing to let my husband quit his day job, ideally before he'd be able to retire anyway.
(6) Thru-hike the AT.
(7) Eat at a restaurant that got at least one star in the Michelin guide.
Seven Things I Cannot Do:
(1) Make that really loud whistle with two fingers.
(2) Fly an airplane.
(3) Parallel park in the snow.
(4) Multi-variable calculus (and I have a D on my college transcript to prove it!)
(5) Ride a unicycle.
(6) Speak Japanese.
(7) Underwater basket weaving.
Seven Things that Attract Me to Men:
(1) Dimples.
(2) A sense of humor.
(3) The right smell (it's not something I can quantify; it's a reptile-brain thing, I think, and for goodness' sakes don't anyone think the Right Smell has anything to do with cologne or scented deoderants.)
(4) Hands.
(5) Intelligent and interesting.
(6) Good with kids.
(7) The first name "Ed," there's just something hot about that name.
Seven Things I say Most Often
(1) Who's there? Cheetah who? Ha ha ha okay, enough knock-knock jokes for now.
(2) Please don't wipe your boogers on my bathrobe.
(3) Walk on the stairs, don't jump down them.
(4) Are you poopy?
(5) You need to ask again in a nice voice.
(6) If you're going to fight, neither one of you gets it.
(7) Stop antagonizing your sister!
Seven Books or Series I Love
(1) The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold

(3) George Orwell: Collected Essays
(4) The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley
(5) The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman

Seven Movies I Can Watch Over and Over
(1) Star Wars -- the first, the real first, by which I do not mean the thing with Jar-Jar.
(2) Princess Bride
(3) Labyrinth
You know, I really don't watch a lot of movies, and I rarely re-watch anymore; I can't come up with seven.

Date: 2005-12-20 04:50 pm (UTC)... believe it or not, I've done this. We made baskets while floating in a pool. It's good for keeping the weaving materials supple.
(5) You need to ask again in a nice voice.
I think I say that the MOST often. Or our variant, which is, "That's not a nice way to ask. What's the NICE word?"
