Tack Strips ???

About 6 feet of wall left, and it's dinnertime, after which we're going to a party. Guess I'll finish up tomorrow.

Pull the whole strip out, not just the tacks. If you can get under the edge of the strips with the prybar, it shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck, and Happy New Year!

I remember that being true when I ripped out the carpet in the bedroom that is now the girls' (nine years ago, so well before either girl). This strip seems to have been nailed down more vigorously. Prying out the strip involves breaking the wood, ripping it loose from the nail, then prying out the nail. Only a couple of times have I gotten the nails to pop out.
