Ice Age (the movie)
Jan. 8th, 2006 12:28 amWe saw Ice Age earlier this week, courtesy of a friend who loaned us the DVD.
It was very funny.
But, I have to say. I wasn't bothered by the concept of a sloth, a mammoth, and a saber-toothed tiger joining together in a quest to return a lost human baby to his father. I wasn't bothered by the characters wandering past Old Faithful, Stonehenge, and the painted caves from France. I wasn't even bothered by the fact that the stone-age baby was wearing a diaper.
But the stone age humans leashing their dogs had me yelling and throwing popcorn at the screen.

Anyone in film who changes sides {but isn't a protag's love interest} is pretty much guaranteed to have to go through the self-sacrifice scene, one way or another, just so %he can be absolved of all prior malice and/or all need to face an actual judicial hearing.
